The Vintage "Alva" Collection is a limited-run, capsule collection and is very special and sentimental to the designer. The recently-discovered fabrics used for the bags are more than 30 years old from Natchitoches, Louisiana (home of "Steel Magnolias" ) and were originally planned to make dresses, clothing and furnishings by Elizabeth's late grandmother, Anna Alva Sims Younger. During her lifetime Grandma Younger created countless works of art, ceramics and clothing. She was the catalyst for Elizabeth to begin designing and encouraged "Bethie" to see the world differently and create as a child. These are truly gorgeous, vintage heirlooms filled with history and meaning. By carrying these special bags you are "giving life" to Grandma Younger's vintage fabrics.
